I am a mindfulness-based psychotherapist, counselor, and teacher with over 12 years of experience helping individuals cultivate awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being. My journey with mindfulness began in 1999 when I trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Jon Kabat-Zinn, and I have been teaching mindfulness for more than 20 years.
Since 2012, I have worked as a psychotherapist, integrating mindfulness into counseling to support clients facing anxiety, depression, grief, and other challenges. In 2017, I founded Wake Up Mindfulness Studio, where I led MBSR classes, workshops, and certification programs. I have also worked extensively in inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment settings, facilitating mindfulness groups and providing one-on-one support for individuals navigating mental health and addiction recovery.
Beyond my work as a therapist and teacher, I am also an artist and writer, passionate about exploring the intersection of mindfulness and creative expression.
